Cuckoo's Nest

We are truly lucky to have two guitarists on call to Cuckoo's Nest. They are Steve Giddings and Paul Hill. Unfortunately for all you lovely people out there, only one can be seen at any one time. I can assure you that they are not the same people.

Steve Giddings has been a fixture of the lively Leek, Staffordshire music scene for the last 20 years or so. He plays guitar, pedal steel, bass and dobro. Occasionally picking a banjo unless asked not to.
Steve has long been a student of crackly old country, blues and jazz records and has played in blues bands of various shapes and sizes including the locally infamous Johnny Waterhouse Blues Band and now holds down (when he’s not ceilidh-ing) an almost every Saturday residency at Leek's home of the blues (and Leek Blues Festival) the Cock Inn.
Steve lives in Leek where he also teaches guitar privately and in local schools. He’s extremely friendly and you can find him on Facebook.

Paul started playing guitar in Cuckoo's Nest in 1991 but more took up the melodeon seriously and also occasionally 'deps' for Croz on melodeon.
Other bands and musical work
In 1980, he started playing in indie-pop bands including Derby based band "Other Voices" then throughout the nineties in "The Godivas" playing widely on the college circuit and in Europe.
Now Paul plays in several gigging bands including a 12-piece seventies funk band, Funk Station and teaches guitar in Leek.
Other bands and musical work
Paul likes a wide range of music, especially 1930's, 40's and 50's Americana, Django, French and English folk music (obviously!)
